Family Spa at Spa Central Batam

It's holidays! More often than not, year end can be such an overwhelming period. With activities packed and events packed all around Singapore, I had to constantly remind myself to pace and not to rush for everything. Instead, I look forward to wind down, slow down; and take sometime to reflect and prepare for the new year.

This year, we kicked start our holiday with a much needed spa getaway to Batam! We decided to give Spa Central a try because of its distinctive concept - Kidzoopia!

Kidzoopia @ Spa Central Batam

Kidzoopia is an in-house kids club, for aged 3 to 12 years old, located at the 4th level of Spa Central Batam.

With an indoor playground, petting zoo, creative corner, witty activities (eg. slime making) and experienced staff, Kidzoopia is a fun and engaging place for the little ones! In fact, the girls spent close to 4 hours without TV there. Parents can get to enjoy our spa at ease!

Behind the bookshelf lies a secret passage way into Kidzoopia and lots of fun await! Of course, there is still a proper door for the adults.

The indoor playground has a pretend play corner, slide and lots of space to run around. Avalyn enjoyed herself alot here!

Over at the creative corner, there are different activities over the weeks. Emma made her own slime and there are other children who painted stones. Avalyn did some drawings!

The highlight for Emma got to be the petting zoo!

They have rabbit, cats, birds, hamster, & guinea pig, sugar glider and even iguana! Emma loves the kitten and played with it most of the time.

Avalyn's just a few months short of the minimum age, so I thought it would be better for us to take turns to do our massage. During my time at Kidzoopia, I observed that the staff are really good with the children and take good care of them. Towards the end, Avalyn was happy to follow the Kidzoopia staff and Emmalyn to play by themselves. For our next visit, I think we can drop Avalyn at Kidzoopia and go for our couple massage!

Note: There is a small admission fee: R.P 100,000 / ~SGD 10 (weekdays) and R.P 120,000 / ~SGD 12 (weekends) for first 2 hours. Subsequent hours will be charged at R.P 20,000 / ~SGD2. In the month of December, Kidzoopia will have a snowglobe making session for your kid while you relax away with a rejuvenating massage. Check out @kidzoopia.batam on instagram for their latest highlights each month.

Spa Central Batam

With the children well taken care of, parents can relax and enjoy! Hubby and I each did a 90 mins aromatherapy massage (R.P 320,000 / ~SGD32 before taxes) and they were good! Before heading to the treatment room, we were asked to pick the aromatherapy oil and had a good feet wash.

After checking on my strength preference and if I have any allergy, the therapist went on to work her magic! It was so relaxing that I fell asleep. I wish it could go on longer!

We then wrapped up with a 60 mins hair spa for myself, foot reflexology for Hubby and manicure/pedicure for Emma after lunch. It was truly a very relaxing visit.

Besides aromatherapy massage, there are also traditional massage, hot stone massage, accupressure fusion massage and more. The spa packages also includes body scrub, milk bath, hair spa and foot reflexology. They also have full day spa package (R.P 1.6 mil/ ~SGD 156) - 6 hours of spa bliss! Really affordable! Go check out their wide range of services on their website!

I must say Spa Central Batam took pride in every single details right from the moment we make the booking. We were picked up promptly at Batam Center Ferry Terminal upon arrival and there were even complimentary wifi on the car. If you or your or your group has a minimum of 4 hours of spa treatment(s) with them, they would provide free transport within Batam City.  For areas outside of Batam city (Sekupang or Nongsa), they have transport at a discounted rate.

After Spa Central Batam,

We had some shopping at Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall and a sumptous dinner at HOCIAK Live Seafood (Komplek Restaurant Greenland Block V No.1. Batam Center, Batam Island 29433). Their garlic chicken and steamed flower crabs are so yummy! Worth a try!

Harris Hotel Barelang Batam

It was slightly past 8pm when we finally check in to Harris Hotel Barelang Batam with very full tummies, loosen up muscles and all ready for a good night rest! I love that their room is bright, spacious and everything has a dash of orange on it.

As usual, the girls woke up early - 7am Singapore time/6am Batam time the next day! We spent the morning after breakfast at the pool then went around to explore the resort and kids club before heading back to Singapore! They have such gorgeous views! It was a great stay!

Many thanks to Spa Central Batam and Harris Hotel Barelang Batam for making our 2D1N stay at Batam such an enjoyable and relaxing one!
