Following her celebration at the childcare centre on the eve of her birthday, we had an intimate, fun and effortless celebration with the families at Cool De Sac on her actual birthday.
Cool De Sac
In case it's the first time you heard of Cool De Sac. It's an indoor playground that is conveniently located at Suntec City. Besides the many educational play stations, it also has a bistro that serves good food and colourful party rooms for celebrations! Two weeks back, we have the privilege to celebrate Emma's 3rd birthday at the Club Flash room and I'm excited to share our experience!
With the Club Flash room so beautifully decorated, all we need to do was to jump right into the celebration. It's definitely the first time when I didn't have to be frantic over setting up the venue and getting things rolling was such a breeze. Though, it took me a few seconds to get over the excitement.
Emma and her cousin were super thrilled when they saw the balloons. I'm pretty sure that there are about 100 balloons (4 columns and many bouquets) filling up and adding colours to the space
We started off with the birthday song singing and phototaking! Emma was so stoked to have the presence of her beloved family members celebrating with her.
We went on to indulge in the 9 pieces of Minnie Mouse cupcakes from Sensational Cakes. The children were struggling between eating the cupcakes and playground as both were so tempting.
The tables are nicely set up with a complete set of partyware - plates, forks, cups, serviettes, party hats and goodies bags!
I appreciate the thoughtfulness to have Emma's name up on the banner, making it much more personalized. The room is very spacious and fully equipped with wash sink, hand towels and bins. There's also a laptop where they played some background music.
Generally, Cool de Sac took care of everything so we just had to enjoy the party and attend to the guests.
Club Flash room is the smallest and good for 12 - 20 children party.
This room has UV coloured wall so it grows in the dark!
And there are also another room for bigger group - City Alley (20-40 children). More on the packages at the end of the post.
Play Area
High and sugar rushed, Emma and her cousins dashed for their play! First stop was their play gym.

This is the first big slide that Emma tried when she was still a new toddler.
Now, she no longer needs to sit on my lap and could slide down by herself. I better enjoy the slides before she stopped me from tagging along the play gym.
Her uncle went up with her as well! He felt like a giant on the slide and was embarrassed but he certainly enjoyed it too!
Besides, the big slides, there are also lots of structure for the children to climb about!
Arts & Block Zone
There is a arts & block corner where children get their creativity flowing! Art materials to draw and legos to be built are readily available!

She loves getting cute characters painted on her arms! Like many children, body painting is probably few activity where Emma could willingly and patiently sit through the session.
Check out their painted arms. They are really beautifully drawn! Emma and her elder cousin had unicorns while the 2nd cousin had giraffe. Too bad, they are only meant for the children.
The paint dried up pretty fast and they were off for play in no time! I impressed by the quality of the paint, they don't smudge unless in contact with water.
Ball pit
Emma didn't really like the ball pit when we played at another indoor playground a while back as she felt very insecure in it.
But, her turning 3 seems to make her much more courageous. She was swimming like a fish in the pit.

Foam Blocks Play
Children can also engage in creative play using the blue foam blocks though Emma still prefers the ball pit.
They are perhaps more challenging and suitable for older children. With some designing, brainstorming and experimenting, they can create their own unique playground.
Treehouse
Children would love to climb up and down the treehouse playing catching and such.

Emma was looking serious on the swinging bridge. She got the hang of it afterwhile and moved too fast to be captured on photos clearly.
Besides a toddler playarea near the party rooms, there's also a small slide at the treehouse area for the young ones. The toddler playarea is full of toys, a small slide and a ball pit for the little ones.
After 1.5 hours, we dragged the children back for dinner.
We ordered pizzas, pastas and finger foods from the Bistro. Other than their salty fries, the rest are very yummy!
Fun play, nice space, good food!
It got to be the most exciting and effortless party that I've every organised. But, I must give all credits to Cool De Sac. And we are blessed to have our families with us to celebrate this special day.
