Our Top 5 Eating places at Gold Coast

I was reminded of this post in my draft when a friend was asking about Gold Coast. So, here I'm trying to clear my travelogue (back-log) and hopefully could bring joy to some bellies.

Before I start, can you guess what is little Emma doing?

Any clue? She was actually checking out her belly after seeing the bikini girls on the magazine.
So hilarious!

Besides the many attractions that I have shared in my previous post (here), there are also plenty good food! Here's the top 5 (with ratings from Tripadvisor) on our list!

Allure is an award winning restaurant! They serve French exquisite cuisine that is fit for Kings and Queens (but not princes and princesses as it doesn't have any high chair)! This was the last stop before we departure and we are glad to make a trip there with friend's recommendation.

Don't look down on this truffle tries, it's so satisfying!

My friend highly recommended this so we got to try it! The scallop and roasted pork are done to perfection.

The chicken looks hard but is really tender and matches well with the sauce.

136 Duringan Street, Gold Coast QLD 4233, Australia

This got to be my favourite place and I would definitely return if we were to visit Gold Coast again (*hint hint*).

This restaurant is just across Skypoint. It looks like an normal random restaurant but we knew we made the right decision upon entry. It's such a happening place and customers are all happily chatting and singing along.

Everything looks so good that I feel like grabbing a bite off every table. But we decided to get a big pizza to share!

I just got to post this unglam photo of me as Emma looks so funny trying to steal a piece of pizza.

2/3018-3030 Surfers Paradise Boulevard, Sufers Paradise QLD 4217, Australia

Surfers Paradise Surf Life Saving Club (4*)

This is along the Surfers Paradise beachfront and it's definitely a good place to hangout before strolling the night marketing. It's quite an interesting eating place as it's within a club.

Anyhow, Hubby ordered this pineapple cheese chicken cutlet. It tastes really good! I think it's a popular dish over there as I saw it on menu a few times.

I had some tomato cream pasta and soup. Love it!

Surfers Paradise Boulevard, Surfers Paradise QLD 4217, Australia

We celebrated Hubby's birthday at this Teppanyaki place. I must stay their entertaining cooking skills and high quality food got them the first place in the long list of restaurants in Gold Coast.

We were too busy eating and entertaining Emma so there isn't any nice food shot.

Level 3, 158 Ferny Avenue, Surfers Paradise, OLD 4217, Australia

Hog's Breath Cafe (3.5*)

We were rather clueless so we just popped in to the shop that has the greatest crowd after the Seaworld. There is another by the sea but it's too chilly for Emma.

I love how they did their steak - juicy and tender! Pardon the wrongly angled photo, haha, Oops, I should say it's an art.

The drumsticks are good but nothing to rave about. We also ordered a prawn cocktail (please don't order that).

60/70 Seaworld Drive, Main Beach QLD 4215, Australia

We had great fills and hope you will enjoy the food as much as we did!!

Happy holidays!!

  1. Thank you for linking up on Travel Tuesday. Oh my.. That photo of Emma and the magazine is hilarious!! My hubby's biggest complaint, every time I suggest going to Australia, is there is nothing nice to eat. Guess it's because we were eating like McDonalds during our Gold Coast trip.. Because the McDonalds there always has nice playgrounds!

    1. That girl is so adorable right? She and her magazine.. Lol.. Looks like Benihana is a real must-visit if I go Gold Coast again! I miss the theme parks there, and hope to drive up to explore Sunshine Coast a bit more.
