Before motherhood, I knew nothing about baby carrier but I fell in love with it the very first time I use it. Emma was 5 weeks old, and I needed to go out for a walk after 4 weeks of confinement at home. The experience was so amazing and liberating! I was very cautious about handling Emma then but with the carrier on, I didn't have to worry about dropping her, sore arms and she was safe in the carrier. Over time, I become such an expert with it that I could eat, shop and go on oversea trip with her in the carrier. I babywear her till she was almost 3 years old.

What are the 2 main house chores that most families do regularly, if not, daily?

For our family, it's laundry and dish washing. Honestly, the house can go on without cleaning of floors and toilets for a couple of days, but laundry and dishes are the 2 chores that can't pile up. We don't want to run out of clothes and invite insects to our house.

However, little did I know that some of the laundry and dish washing detergent that we used contains "phosphates" that pollutes water systems and harm aquatic life. So, what can we do? We can't live without washing, but we can choose to use eco-friendly products like Ecover.

Shortly following my delivery, I started thinking about getting out of the house with Baby Avalyn after my confinement. It took me 6 weeks to be bold enough to venture out to nearby mall with Emma alone but this time, I might have gotten out after 2 weeks if not because of my confinement.

As a working mum, it has always been a constant challenge to keep our house spanking clean and tidy. I engaged part time cleaner on weekends when we stayed in.

If I got to list down the things that Emma does every day, that would include books reading.

We read together at our free time, read while she takes her milk or fruits and read to her soft toys. When we are busy, she would sometimes read them by herself too. She doesn't exactly know how to read yet, but she loves the illustrations, colours and characters. She'd even memorised many phrases & sentences of the books by heart. 

It's great that she enjoys reading as it helps to stimulate her brains, improve her languages and make her happy. Besides, it's also my favourite (relaxing) family bonding activity after a long day at work.

Potty training is going well for Emma! 

It has been close to 2 months since she started and she overcame her fear of using adult toilet for her small businesses. She still insist to poo in her diapers and would ask to put on one if she wasn't wearing any. However, she recently requested to go diaper-free in school.
