Emma's swimming journey & 8 things I love about Little Swim School

Sponsored

Emmalyn turns 3 years old on a historical and glorious day for Singapore!

On 13 Aug, Joseph Schooling set a new Olympic record, left the world in awe and made Singapore so proud! Along with his gold medal, countless are inspired to achieve bigger dreams in life. Of the many clips and reports swimming around, I particularly love the interview with Joseph's parents. I see the love, support and strength they have showered upon him. It left me pondering about parenting and I pray that the Lord would bless us the wisdom to upbring and help Emma unleash her own potential as well.

Twinning in Camouflage Kids Outfits

Happy & Blessed Chinese New Year! Our family wishes you all a joyful and faithful year ahead.

I shared about how I match our family outfits in my previous post and here's another one!

We wore our first mother-daughter twinning outfit to visiting on CNY Day 2. I think we look pretty cute in those as we received lots of compliments. Haha. I personally love how Emma looks in the mini Celine Lace white top as she looks like a small adult.

It's great that Camouflage Kids brings in mini version of the adult smart casual outfits instead of having just the commonly seen T-shirts. I'm certainly going to get a couple more sets soon!

These days, Emma is getting quite good at imitation when she is in the mood for it. For this short series, she totally surprised us and nailed them all!

Matching family outfits with Camouflage Kids!

I'm sure many of you'd have heard about Camouflage Kids. If not, you must have passed by one of their retail shop in the malls!

They carry a wide selection of stylish streetwears apparel in miniature adult sizes - suitable for children from 0 to 8 years old.

Even before I became a mother, I was so attracted by their boys' clothes. I love those miniature colourful shirts that would make any boy look super smart.

I was so excited to see more pretty clothes for girls when I bumped in Camouflage Kids once again few months back. I don't remember seeing many girls' clothes - dresses and girly tops in the past.

Bring out your confidence with D'Elegance

If you look good, you feel good, and if you feel good, you do good - George St-Pierre

How much do you agree with this quote?

There are so much talk about loving your body, accepting your flaws and having self-confidence. People talk about being too fat or too thin, working towards a perfect body and chasing the societal norms.

And what's your take about looking good and keeping in shape?

Sendhelper: Your one stop for daily chores

My idea of housework is to sweep the floor with a glance. - Erma Bombeck

How I wish!

I haven't been much of a housework frantic for the very fact that I'm always taking up another role after work when we have our own home - student, pregnant mama-to-be, mama and blogger. I do basic cleaning regularly but our house is more often neat than sparkling clean. Eversince Emma comes along, I find it hard to skip some precious fun time with Emma for housework. So, I only clear the chores after she goes to bed at 9pm.

However, my mindset towards spending time with Emma vs housework changed abit lately - I began doing more housework with her around. She is getting more independent, able to entertain herself and get around the house safely. She voiced out her needs/wants rather clearly. Most importantly, I don't want to raise a pampered girl, I want her to see and learn that the mess doesn't clear by itself and we need to do something about it. These days, she is very happy to help me with some wiping and cooking (she would cook using her playset while I do the real stuff).

Personal consultation with D'Elegance

Too often, we don't realise what we have until it's gone. So, when life gives you some curves, flaunt them!

As a mother to 1, I'm mostly happy with my body. Afterall, it's the body that has nourish our sweet little darling and I'm proud of it. However, there are still moment when I struggled with my troubled spots and felt sad that I couldn't carry out some dresses like before. I'm weighing the same as before pregnancy but things are just not the same anymore!! I won't go into details here, but basically some areas are less firm, toned and more flabby. In the past, I was always thinking about losing a few more kilos and inches. But now, I just missed how my body was before giving birth.

Obviously, our bodies aren't built be to age and gravity defying.

Then recently, I found some hope to get back to shape as I got to know about the power of body shapers. When I was invited to a review D'Elegance shapewear, I was extremely excited and honoured.
