The Toddle Shop x Getting out with a newborn

This post is in collaboration with The Toddle Shop

*

Shortly following my delivery, I started thinking about getting out of the house with Baby Avalyn after my confinement. It took me 6 weeks to be bold enough to venture out to nearby mall with Emma alone but this time, I might have gotten out after 2 weeks if not because of my confinement.

While I was all ready and confident to bring Baby Avalyn out alone, I lacked of baby gears like diaper bag and carrier. I wasn't prepared for early delivery and delay in house moving, so my baby gears are still stuck in the storage warehouse. To get out as planned, I had to get these stuff fast and shopping online when home bound is surely the way to go!

The Toddle Shop

I went on The Toddle Shop's website (http://www.toddle.sg) and began my search for affordable diaper bag and carrier. With a user friendly website and fine selections of baby products, it didn't take long for me to set my eyes on Skip Hop Duo Signature diaper bag bag and Boba baby wrap. In addition, I also bought a Spectra pump from The Toddle Shop.

There are more quality baby gears, products for learning & play, feeding and nursing, bath & health and even wearables from trusted brands like Babyzen, Ergo baby, Melissa & Doug, Dr Brown's, OXO Tot on The Toddle Shop. It also carries the latest Jujube Sea Punk edition!

I like that The Toddle Shop provides Toddle tags like Smart, Healthy, Investment, Necessity and Eco-friendly to aid buying decision. The Toddle tags forms the basis for evaluating all the products in store. Thus, customers can be assured that products are carefully chosen.

Fiddle & Doodle: Dabber Dot Markers for Toddlers

Sponsored

It's not the first time that I've shared, weekday nights are too short and precious. So, I usually engage Emma in indoor activities and play. We leave TV time for the weekends when we need some desperate breather or break in between.

When Fiddle & Doodle asked if I'd be interested to review its Dabber Dot Markers, I agreed without second thought. As a craft lover, these Dabber Dot Markers are definitely love at first love and useful for crafting with Emma.

Emma's 3rd birthday celebration @ Cool De Sac Indoor Playground (Suntec City)

Sponsored

Following her celebration at the childcare centre on the eve of her birthday, we had an intimate, fun and effortless celebration with the families at Cool De Sac on her actual birthday.

Cool De Sac

In case it's the first time you heard of Cool De Sac. It's an indoor playground that is conveniently located at Suntec City. Besides the many educational play stations, it also has a bistro that serves good food and colourful party rooms for celebrations! Two weeks back, we have the privilege to celebrate Emma's 3rd birthday at the Club Flash room and I'm excited to share our experience!

With the Club Flash room so beautifully decorated, all we need to do was to jump right into the celebration. It's definitely the first time when I didn't have to be frantic over setting up the venue and getting things rolling was such a breeze. Though, it took me a few seconds to get over the excitement.

Celebrating birthday at Childcare Centre with Sensational Cakes + Giveaway!

Sponsored

After a big 1st birthday celebration with family & friends and a birthday trip to Bintan for her 2nd birthday, we decided to keep it simple this year. So, we ended up with no-frill celebrations at school on the eve and Cool de Sac on the actual day!

Unlike the previous 2 years, Emma appreciates birthday celebrations so much more. She looked forward to turning 3 years old and talked about birthday cakes and goodies bags many weeks before her actual birthday. So, we thought it would be nice to (finally) have a celebration at school.

Knowingly how overboard I can be at times, Hubby warned me about keep the celebration at school really simple. He shot down many fun ideas and I'm only allowed to bring in 1 cake and goodies bags. Hence, I thought it be indulging to share my "dream" school celebration here.

[Giveaway] Nippon Paint x Emma's pink room

I knew Emma would love a pink bedroom but I didn't expect her to love it so much!

The amount of time she spent in her room tells everything. In the past, she hardly hang out in her bedroom when she was awake but now, we often find her chilling out on the bed, playing with her soft toy and admiring her pink wall.

IKEA: Emma's LATT Children's Table Set DIY Makeover

Sponsored

Being a big fan of IKEA, I'm stoked to be part of the 2016 IKEA Blogger Program. This program runs over 4 months and I'll be taking on one different task each month to create useful, interesting and fun home fix ideas.

For this month, I need to do something crafty! Oh yay, my favourite!

LATT Children's Table Set Makeover

With Emma's room revamp well underway, I decided to update one of her IKEA pieces - the LATT children's table. It costs S$39.90 and is one of the cheapest children's table around.

We could have easily bought the white SUNDVICK or KRITTER table set last year but both would cost at least $100. Since I love doing DIY anyway, the crafty and thrifty me thought it would be better to do a DIY makeover instead.

Before

I happily spent a few nights cutting and wrapping up the table set with wall papers. It turned out lovely and totally matched the theme of our living hall.

But, there was one down side which Hubby frowned upon for the past 1 year. The corners where pieces of wallpaper met (forming right angles) created some pointed edges that lightly scratched us once a while. Thankfully, all were small scratches that recover quickly.

Nippon Paint X Choosing Paint Colour for Toddler's Room

Sponsored post

I've been toying with the idea of revamping (a major overhaul) Emma's room for the longest time! It's probably the most neglected corner of the house as little effort is spent on decorating it.

Hence, I jumped on it when Nippon Paint offered to paint Emma's room! Daddy wasn't too enthusiastic about it as he dislike hassle. But, I managed to convince him that it will all be fine with Nippon Paint's help.

Her room is basically made up of 4 white walls, many white furniture and some pops of colours.
